Today Colin and I made homemade (melt and pour, sorry guys) soaps. Obviously, the steps are pretty simple. Plus, with our busy lives--we couldn't afford to make the REAL stuff.
We cut the soap base in small pieces and melted it until it was smooth. Then we put the Sweet Orange essential oil inside the soap to add a nice scent. It has anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antimicrobial and antioxidant properties. After all that, we just put it in the molds and let it cool in fridge for an hour.
This is it resting in the fridge!
This was the left over batch. They finished first since they were much smaller.
This was the main batch. Looks pretty, right? We didn't add any artificial coloring.
Finally it's all wrapped and ready to be gifted!
